Beer Growler Transport as Airline ‘Check Through’ Luggage
“Beer Growler Transport as Airline ‘Check Through’ Luggage” stars Disembodied Male Voice in his first major film role.
This video describes one method of packaging a standard 1/2 gallon (glass) growler of your favorite microbrewed beer to allow it to be safely ‘checked through’ as luggage on a commercial airline flight originating in the United States.
Disembodied Male Voice has had good luck with this method - having safely transported growlers of beer from his home base in South West Michigan (via commercial airlines) to Los Angeles and Brussels, Belgium - without spilling a drop!
NOTE: On the Los Angeles trip, the airline lost the cooler containing a growler of The Livery’s Double Paw IPA. It was eventually delivered to his hotel room (a day and a half late…) and the beer was still cool (temperature) and tasted great!
The moral of the story is: Disembodied Male Voice strongly recommends transporting more heartily flavored beers (Ales, etc) using this method as it is less likely that temperature changes will affect the beer’s flavor.
